Performance You Can Trust

Every GIK product is tested at the world-renowned University of Salford, following BS EN ISO 354:2003 standards. This scientific approach not only ensures complete transparency in how our products perform but also drives our R&D process. So every panel, bass trap, or diffuser we release is engineered to deliver results you can trust. Rigorous lab testing removes guesswork. It confirms how our designs interact with sound waves, so the sound-absorbing properties measured in the lab translate into predictable sound control and consistent sound quality in real rooms, with better clarity, less fatigue, and more focus.

Product Description

Description

The Amplitude™ Acoustic Panels are the perfect balance of style and science. By merging the popular Alpha and Impression plate designs into one high-quality, upgraded design with patented, recessed plates, we’ve created a versatile acoustic solution that blends broadband absorption with integrated diffusion in a slim, low-profile build. Materials

Camira Cara Fabrics

GIK is excited to use the Camira Cara fabric line standard in all our products. The Camira fabric will look familiar to fans of Guilford of Maine fabrics, similar to their FR701 line but with different colour options. With a richer aesthetic and tactile feel and wider range of available colours compared to our previous standard offerings, Camira Cara allows every product to look as good as it performs.

Sustainability

GIK Acoustics has long prioritized sustainability as a guiding principle. We carefully select materials that balance acoustic performance with environmental responsibility, sourcing from suppliers who share our commitment to reducing waste and carbon impact. Our products use durable, recyclable components that minimize landfill waste while maintaining the highest acoustic standards.

Health & Safety

Health and safety are built into every GIK product. All materials—including fabrics, cores, and wood elements—are formaldehyde-free, low-VOC, and independently tested for indoor air quality. This ensures our treatments are safe for studios, homes, schools, and offices alike. We believe superior acoustics should never come at the expense of well-being, which is why our products are made with clean, non-toxic materials that protect both the people who use them and the spaces where they’re installed.

Care Instructions

Camira Cara Fabric

Vacuum regularly. Wipe with a damp cloth using soap and water or use proprietary upholstery shampoo. For deeper cleaning use bleach or alcohol.

Veneer Finishes

Clean with a soft cloth or soft brush, lightly dampened with lukewarm PH-neutral, soapy water. Do not use solvents or chemical cleaners, but cleaning can be done with alcohol-based cleaners. Finally, wipe with a damp cloth afterward.

Designed for Clarity and Focused Control

The Amplitude Acoustic Panel is designed for spaces where clarity and comfort matter more than deep bass control. Its slim profile targets mid and high-frequency reflections that affect speech intelligibility, focus, and listening fatigue, making it well suited for offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, and other non-critical audio environments. When space or aesthetics limit the use of thicker solutions, Amplitude Acoustic Panels provide effective acoustic control, addressing the problem it’s intended to solve with a clean, low-profile approach.

Hybrid Performance with Patented Design

The Amplitude Acoustic Panel uses GIK’s patented recessed plate technology, which combines effective broadband absorption with surface diffusion. This design ensures your space avoids the lifeless feel of over-absorption, instead achieving a balanced, natural sound. Reflections are reduced, clarity is enhanced, and your room maintains an open, accurate character for both critical listening and everyday use.

Slim Profile, Wide Applications

Designed for spaces where every inch counts, this panel delivers effective sound control without dominating the room. It works exceptionally well in recording studios, meeting rooms, and other everyday environments where managing noise levels is critical to speech clarity and concentration. As part of a broader acoustic treatment strategy, these acoustic wall panels help reduce distracting reflections and create a calmer, more intelligible space ideal for focused work, learning, and communication, for non-critical audio applications where thicker solutions aren’t practical but performance still matters.

Style Meets Science

Available with Alpha slot patterns or Impression cutout designs, the Amplitude Acoustic Panel functions as both a high-performance acoustic solution and a refined visual element. These decorative acoustic panels are designed to integrate naturally with contemporary interior design, offering the look of decorative wall panels or wood wall panels without compromising acoustic control thanks to GIK’s superior sound-absorbing properties. Options such as wood veneer finishes in Beech, Walnut, Grey Elm, Black, or White allow the panels to complement modern architectural palettes, making them well-suited for spaces where visual cohesion matters as much as sound quality, such as elaborate wall tile arrangements. Beneath the finish, each panel delivers the same scientifically tested performance trusted by professionals worldwide.

FAQ

What’s the main benefit of a 5cm acoustic panel?

The 5cm Amplitude Acoustic Panel is ideal for reducing flutter echo and early reflections, making your space sound clearer without over-absorbing high frequencies. Remember that all panels are acoustic treatment to improve sound quality inside a room, rather than soundproofing or stopping sound from entering the room. Add them to your cart and checkout, better sound is a few clicks away.

How is this different from the old Alpha and Impression panels?

The Amplitude line unites the Alpha and Impression series into one advanced product, featuring our new patented recessed plates that improve both diffusion and absorption, with a much better fit & finish. The plates are available in multiple veneer finishes over the MDF core.

Can these panels handle bass problems too?

5cm panels primarily target midrange and high frequencies, which are sufficient for many everyday acoustic tasks. For bass performance, use the thicker Amplitude Bass Trap Panels. All GIK panels use our superior sound insulation materials for the best performance, regardless of thickness.

Where should I install them for best results?

For everyday acoustics tasks, performance is more about coverage area than the exact position of each panel. Generally, placing panels closer to the noise sources is better. You can use them for specific treatment strategies, such as early reflection zones in a listening room or in areas where flutter echo is an issue. They also work well in offices and multipurpose spaces needing improved clarity.
