Halliday Clark Architects provided full Architectural service at Riddings Hall in Christchurch, Ilkley. They employed GIK Acoustics 242 Acoustic Panels along the back wall and ceiling that transformed the tired church hall into a not-for-profit soft play facility with a focus on accessibility, acoustics and sensitivity to the architectural heritage of the existing space.
Dan’s Den is a permanent indoor soft play facility housed in the Riddings Hall for the community and beyond. Said Christine Henney, “Our project was to convert an old church hall into a soft play venue that is warm and welcoming. The echo in the hall had meant that conversation whilst children were playing was very difficult. GIK Acoustic panels have contributed to a bright, open space where parents and staff can converse easily even at busy times with 45-50 children playing. They look great on the walls and ceiling. We are very pleased with the outcome.”
